Composer Rollo Raphael unearths music from the world of film and video.
Not more Star Wars?! None of the usual John Williams orchestral pomp can be heard on the latest Star Wars spin off, The Mandalorian. Instead we are presented with the genre spanning sounds of Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther).
Owing much to Spaghetti Western composing legend Ennio Morricone, Göransson creates a quirky, dramatic score, perfectly fusing electronics and acoustic instrumentation for a suitably galactic sound. The main theme song has instant nostalgia hit written all over it.
Take a listen…
