Bombay Bicycle Club’s Ed Nash has made a spectacular return with his solo release Think You Feel the Same. After previously releasing music under the pseudonym Toothless a while back, today’s release marks a more personal path for Nash. Speaking on rverting back to his own name, Nash commented, “I don’t want to use a moniker when everything else about the project is so personal and homegrown.” And it shows in Think You Feel the Same – Ed Nash has well and truly come home.
Speaking further, Nash said, “After initially spending some time writing and recording a follow-up to the first Toothless album, I realised I wanted to do things differently. The music I was writing felt increasingly more personal, both lyrically and sonically than the music I put out under Toothless. Labouring over a record for years no longer feels productive for what I’m doing, where I want to just write songs and get them out to you as quickly as possible.”
Taking a sonically different path in his own music, the musician has also announced the launch of his own independent label… and you’re going to absolute love the name! *drum rolls*… Bangers & Nash. What a name!
We know you’re as excited as we are to hear more, and with the promise to get music out “as quickly as possible” it sounds as though we won’t have to long to wait for more new music from the Bombay Bicycle Club bassist! Keep up with Nash on Instagram:
